MP backs biodiesel tax break project

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a campaign to keep tax breaks for companies who produce biodiesel.
Producers converting cooking oil into biodiesel presently benefit from a 20p differential however that is because of end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has been meeting the UK sustainable biodiesel alliance.
Mr George said "a number of little organizations in Cornwall presently make money from used cooking oil".
He added: "In order to be able to get this sort of industry going it does need simply a little bit of lift which is available in the type of tax inevitable."
Biodiesel is a mix of standard diesel, and veggie oils.
